Thatched shelter at North End, near Little Yeldham
Stuart Bowditch
Driving back to my digs in Bulmer I passed this curious little thatched shelter, with a bench under it, at a curve on the North End Road. Ideal for sitting on for half an hour and watching the world go by, I thought, so that’s exactly what I did. As it happened, it was quite a lot of cars that went by, and no pedestrians, but that’s as one would expect for a country road in between villages. As I sat there, it started to gently rain and you can hear the increasing amount of water between road and tyre. Fantastic, just what the shelter was built for. Oh, and to keep one dry whilst using the water pump there.
