My good friends Walter and Jilly Reid were temporarily living in a solitary spot in the countryside, and after hearing about our quest to record ‘quiet places’ invited me over to record their garden, and have a cup of tea whilst doing so.

Upon arrival Walt informed me of the quarry nearby (I could see huge mounds of freshly moved earth, and take a look at some satellite pictures) and the acrobatic aeroplanes that practice overhead. Other than that, it was pretty peaceful and I left the recorder to do its thing as I went inside to enjoy a nice cuppa and a chat.
