Picnic by the River Stour, Bures, 2016

On the way back to Marks Tey I broke my journey at Bures Station and took a walk into the centre of the village. I was a bit peckish so bought a fat sandwich and a rhubarb drink at the Village Deli. To avoid crossing the River Stour and entering Suffolk, I took a walk along the Colchester Road and found a nice little spot by a bend in the river. I set up the mic on a small platform intended for fishermen and ate my picnic whilst enjoying the light rain, house martins, ducklings and no people.
