Shingle, 2015
Another recording in parts. Recorded in Chalkwell, on the beach below the bowling greens with the recorder on the breakwater.
The first part has the tide coming in but ahead of the microphone; by the second part the tide has advanced and may even have passed the microphone, you may be able to sense that.
It was fairly still so the waves are pretty gentle. You hear all the various sounds they make, close by and further along the beach at different times, but you should also be able to hear the hiss and clack of the shingle as the tide pushes it up the shore and then pulls it back.
This was about 1.20am.
