Marshall Lilleshall Beam Pump, 2016

I visited the Museum of Power on the 1st of January 2016 for the ‘Crank up’ day, which is one of the few times per year that they start up the huge Marshall Lilleshall beam pump, which is the main attraction at the museum. It was surprisingly quiet and smooth for such a large and heavy machine and I found it to be very graceful and soothingly rhythmic.
