King's Head Street, Harwich, 2016

The Alma Inn on King’s Head Street in Harwich seemed to be constantly busy, with plenty of chatter, laughter and merriment at all times of day. As it was warm and sunny, the door was open, and the sounds from inside spilled out on to the street and drifted off into the rest of town, which certainly elicited a feeling of summer.

The pub was just as friendly inside as it sounded from outside. It was great to be enveloped by a big hug of welcomeness, especially since I was a tourist and the clientele mostly locals.
