Ferry Lane, Fingringhoe, 2018
I had an hour to spend before an assignment for another project so I explored the roads that spread like tentacles from Fingringhoe and after being chased out of the woods near Ballast Quay by a swarm of mosquitoes found myself in the rather more salubrious environs of the salt marsh opposite Wivenhoe. It was strange being able to view the Wiviera (a local term) from this perspective after having been on the other side many times over the years. I like to be the observer, listener, sometimes more than the participant, so took twenty minutes or so to listen to the activities over there, from over here.
