I’d heard from a keen cycling friend that the village of Stisted was a rather picturesque one with some interesting buildings. So I went to take a look. Driving slowly through the village I heard the school bell ring so I parked up next to the village green and set up the recording kit. There were no children and it was very peaceful, except for a few cars passing by. I saw many birds going about their business including robins, greenfinches and chaffinches (I had to look these up, but have learned something new today). Unfortunately the school bell didn’t chime again so a return visit is in order.
