Farm track (near Old Montsales Farm), Dengie, 2016

In response to our Twitter call for #quiet places in Essex, I drove out to the Dengie with my friend Dee, who suggested that the Dengie or Bradwell could be the quietest place in Essex.

We headed out east from Southminster and stopped at a junction between roads and tracks. The skies are huge out here, and the warmth from the sun was welcome at the end of winter.  Being very low here, we were somewhat out of the wind even though there was nothing to shelter behind. Far from any main roads, it has to be the quietest recording I have made for the project so far.
