Down on the Elm Road Farm, 2016
Domestic fowl. There’re more of them about than there used to be, maybe not as many as during and after the War, but more than 10-20-30 plus years ago.
This chicken was overheard at The Elms end of Elm Road, it just kept going and going so thought I might have time to try and record it. The recording is in 3 parts to try different positions to avoid the breeze. If you can hear traffic noise, it’s coming from The London Road. It’s a long time since it used to be all fields ’round here, but that said, if you walk down Elm Road you can often hear chickens, on the other side of the road as well.
Recorded at 11.40 in the morning chicken time.
