Contra shipwash, 2013
This was recorded in Westcliff, along the seafront. The tide was high and there were a few ships on the move, two of which, ro/ro ferries I think, crossed in front of me so the wash would come ashore five or so minutes later, but there were two washes clashing so, a lot going on. You can also hear in the background (but clearer when the wash subsides) ship engines throbbing away. That kind of volume and tone would probably carry inland, not unusual.
Recorded late evening.
